Judy’s Paradise - Lebowakgomo
You are not aloneGiving birth to a child who has a disability is emotionally stressful; moreover, not having the facilities or the means to look after them is even more heart rending. Judy’s Paradise is a centre that was established by Sarah Mahlangu, who named the centre after her daughter – Judy. The centre looks after children who suffers from cerebral palsy, including Sarah’s daughter, Judy.
The centre accommodates 83 children who had to share a 3 bed-roomed house; which resulted in overcrowding particularly in terms of space. Plans to expand the space were made and Goldrush initiated a project to help build a new structure to accommodate these children. The new structure has an extra three bedrooms.
